Oral Hygiene (toothbrushing)

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Nursery R & V Year: 2024 - 2025

This afternoon for our Health and Safety assembly we had a visit from the Oral Health Team who came to speak to use about the importance of brushing our teeth. All the children loved taking part in the assembly with lots of thumbs up and thumbs down. We also learnt about the importance of visiting the Dentist and the foods we should eat to help our teeth grow big and strong and the foods to avoid so our teeth don't get hurt and decay. I have attached the powerpoint below so you can look at the children's learning.

We also learnt some rhymes to help us remember how much toothpaste we need: "A pea sized blob is just the job!".

Also

We learnt a rhyme for when the best time to eat a treat is: "Save  sweets for after tea, then your teeth will be happy!".
