Autumn Walk

Lesson: Understanding the World

At the beginning of the Autumn term Nursery went on an Autumn walk to investigate what changes happen around us during the Autumn season.

The children looked all around the playground and noticed that some of the leaves had changed colour! We found leaves that were brown, orange, yellow and red. We even found some that were still green as they hadn't started changing yet!

We learnt that during Autumn, the leaves change colour and fall off the trees. When we came back after the holiday, we went outside again and noticed taht more leaves had changed colour and fallen off the trees!
