A visit from the firefighters

Class: Nursery R & J Year: 2022 - 2023

This half term, Nursery and Reception were lucky enough to have a visit from the fire service! 

First, fire fighters Chris and Jack talked to the children about how to be safe from fire, what to do if there is a fire in their home and taught them the rhyme

Then they showed them the special uniform they wear when they have to go and help someone in an emergency. They even showed the children what outfit they have to wear if they are rescuing someone from the water! 

Our favourite part was when we got to go outside and see the fire engine! The firefighters turned on the lights and the sirens for us and even let us have a go at spraying the water hose!
