Year 6 visit to Manchester Royal Infirmary

Children from Year 6 made the annual trip to the Manchester Royal Infimary (MRI) yesterday, Dec 13, to take part in the Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools (IMPS) training.

The aim of the course was to make children aware of dangers they may face and how to deal with injuries to themselves and others.

They were instructed on how to give CPR and put a person in the recovery position.

They also got the chance to visit the children's accident and emergency department of MRI.

We encourage year 6 pupils to pass on their knowledge to those at home as it could, potentially, save someone's life.
